HTC Desire HD expected to Android 2.3 update in April

The latest news for the HTC-fanatics is that its Desire HD is expected to be updated to Android 2.3 Gingerbread in April month.HTC Desire HD was launched in September, 2010 with Android 2.2 "Froyo" operating system but due to issues with the HTC sense overlay, it was rumored to be updated to   Android 2.3.

But, contrary to the expectation of techno-reviewers, HTC updated it in December 2010 to the Android 2.2.1 version 1.72.405.3. This updation was aimed to bring various improvements as well as some bug fixes. Due to this update, Desire HD and its camera app also ran much faster thus improving the HD recording noticeably.

Now , Unwired View has received the info from the French carrier SFR, that it's going to roll out the Android 2.3 update in April month. Along with this, spec is also around that this update can be expected elsewhere in the world at the same time.

Apart from the HTC Desire HD, we can also expect other Android handsets of HTC just like HTC Desire Z and HTC Incredible S, which still run on Froyo, to get the update pretty soon probably at the same time.
